Application Process
Step 2:
Click on our Living Room Tiger Guardian Application button below. Please fill out completely so that we may consider you as one of our trusted Maine Coon guardian families.
Step 3:
Litter announcements:
When a litter is expected, we will post on our social media platforms as well as here on our website, and through our client email list. From birth to 8 weeks of age, you will see updates of the litter online. Reservations for kittens will open around 8 weeks of age, when they have had their first vet check and health evaluation. Individual kitten prices will be determined at this time, based on factors such as Male/Female, Color, Pedigree, and standard/polydactyl paw. If you are on our list of approved guardians, you will be able to reserve a kitten of your choice, immediately when reservations open. Contact us by DM on social media, call/text, or email.
Step 4:
To reserve your kitten, you must be an approved guardian and complete a brief Facetime call with Heather and your chosen kitten. We do not accept deposits prior to this step. It ensures that you, as our client, can verify that we are a legitimate breeder and see your kitten in real time. It also allows us, as their breeders and caretakers, to enter this contract in full confidence- knowing we are placing one of our beloved kittens with a caring and loving guardian.
Step 5:
Deposit: Once the kittens are posted as available for reservations around 8 weeks old, you may contact us as an approved guardian and reserve your kitten. We require a signed copy of our contract, and a $500 non-refundable deposit, towards your final kitten price. Payments can be made by Cash, Zelle, or bank to bank wire with our provided bank form. You will receive weekly photo and video(sometimes more often) updates on your kitten, as well as Facetime when time allows. We love to have our families involved with their kitten as they grow and prepare to come home, at 12-14 weeks of age.
Remaining balance:
The remaining balance is due 5 days prior to picking up your kitten. In the event that your kitten is being delivered via "in cabin" airline flight, the balance is due at the time of scheduling travel. Heather, or an approved courier will meet you at the airport with your kitten. Prices for airline travel is not included in the kitten price, and cost of travel depends on current airline costs and required documentation. If your kitten is being delivered under our $3.00 per mile up to 200 miles, remaining balance is due 5 days prior to kitty road trip delivery day, along with travel cost.
Step 6:
Pick up/ Delivery of your kitten:
Once the balance has been paid and pickup or delivery plans are in place, we will be absolutely delighted to help make your special day-finally meeting your kitten- a joyful and unforgettable experience.
Included with your Living Room Tigers Maine Coon kitten:
~ 3 year Health Guarantee against genetic defects ( Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM) (heart disease), Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) (muscle weakness), and Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD). (Please see our FAQ page for detailed information about our health guarantee.)
~Health certificate signed by our Veterinarian
~Vaccinations & Dewormed up to a 12 week schedule
~ A free month of pet insurance through Trupanion.
~TICA Registration papers & transfer of ownership upon proof of spay/neuter at 8-9 months of age- per our contract.
