That's a very important question! Unfortunately, online pedigree pet scams have become increasingly common, especially with highly sought after breeds like the Maine Coon. Transparency is extremely important to me. I personally invite all interested clients to schedule a phone call or live video chat with me. During our call, you can meet me face to face, see my cats in real time, and view my cattery live. We are also committed to the process of never accepting any sort of funds before a live video chat with our client, breeder, and kittens. Our goal is to help you feel confident and comfortable throughout this process, knowing that you are bringing home a kitten from our family, not a crazy caged kitten mill or a scammer. I'm just a mom, who loves her Maine Coons and wants to share this extraordinary breed with other loving families. 

My goal is to provide safe and loving homes for my Living Room Tigers, our precious Maine Coon kittens. The Guardian Family application is an application to be considered for bringing home one of our kittens. It's the first step to introducing yourself to me, and for me to get an idea of what my kitten will be coming home to. I'd like to know that this is not a spur of the moment purchase for you, and you know that raising a Maine Coon is a little different than your typical house cat. My responsibility in bringing these kittens into the world is to ensure they are placed in the best home for them individually. It's not simply about finding someone who can pay the price for a kitten, but about matching each kitten with a family where their personality, needs, and lifestyle are the right fit. 

We operate a closed cattery to protect the health and safety of our breeding cats and kittens. Limiting outside visitors is essential to reduce the risk of exposure to parasites, viruses, and other potential health threats. While in person visits are not permitted, we are happy to offer scheduled FaceTime or video calls so you can see our cattery and meet our Maine Coons virtually. In person appointments are available for kitten pickup, and any additional visits are considered at our discretion. 

Our kittens are family- therefore we carefully screen families to ensure the best placements of our kittens. If you're interested in a current kitten, or want to share preferences for future litters, please feel welcome to reach out to me personally with any questions. Next, please click on the application page to begin your guardian application and receive updates on future litters. When a litter becomes available, those with approved guardian applications will be able to reserve a kitten immediately. Our kitten prices range from $3,000-$4,500. Prices are determined by Male/Female, Pedigree, Color, and Polydactyl/Standard paw. 

Yes, we have a waiting list. If we do not have kittens available, you may fill out our Guardian Family Application. Once approved and we have spoke with you via telephone or video chat, you will be placed on our waiting list for future litters. We contact waiting list families in the order they joined when kittens are available. YES! We offer a 3 year Health Guarantee against genetic defects ( Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM) (heart disease), Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) (muscle weakness), and PK-def (Pyruvate Kinase Deficiency). We pride ourselves in comprehensive, proactive testing within our breeding program. All of our Maine Coons undergo DNA testing through Optimal Selection, screening for over 40+ genetic mutations commonly found in Maine Coons, including HCM, SMA, and Pk-def. We also take the extra step of performing  echocardiograms starting at one year old to ensure their hearts are clear of HCM, as well as screening for hip dysplasia. Our cattery voluntarily complies with the TICA Responsible Breeder Program, reflecting our commitment to ethical, transparent practices. To maintain a clean, healthy environment, we run  PCR tests to keep our cattery free from respiratory illness and parasites. When you bring home a Living Room Tigers Maine Coon kitten, he/she will have received a full veterinary exam, two FVRCP vaccine boosters, routine deworming, and a veterinary health certificate, giving your new family member the best possible start. In the event that a genetic health issue arises, we offer three solutions:  

1. Return your Maine Coon to us and receive a replacement kitten.
2. Keep your Maine Coon and receive reimbursement for vet bills up to the amount of the purchase price.
3. Return and receive refund of purchase amount.

                  Rules for our 3 year Health Guarantee: 

            1.   Must have record of kitten being seen by a Veterinarian no later than 3 days 

                   after kitten is released to their new family.

            2.   Confirmation of genetic health issue by (two) licensed Veterinarians. 

            3.   Health guarantee is VOID if kitten is kept outdoors. 

            4.   Health guarantee is VOID if kitten is intact, violating our 8 month

                   sterilization contract.             

            5.   Must show proof of regularly scheduled Veterinary care, vaccinations, 

                   and blood work as scheduled by your vet.

As part of our commitment to ethical and responsible breeding, we partner with SpaySecure to ensure that all kittens are spayed or neutered by 8 months of age. This timeline allows for proper growth and development in large breed cats such as Maine Coons, while also upholding our standards for responsible breeding practices.

Yes!

All of our Maine Coons are raised in our family home and are always part of our daily lives. You'll often see them featured on social media alongside our Labrador, Ruckus. Our busy household is filled with friends and family, so the kittens are well accustomed to everyday sights and sounds- vacuum cleaners, music, and children coming and going. This helps our kittens grow into confident, well socialized companions.
